Ysapy

Oh why hello there all of you,

May is almost over and that is just crazy nutty. I don't know where it all went. It goes like a rocket to the moon fo sho.

I know I talk about the weather a lot but it's just the topic of conversation here so I always have to mention it. It rained for a few days this week and it was kind of cool and nice, but now it's really hot and super super humid. It's awful. My hands are all clammy and icky. Someday it's supposed to get colder here. I think last year by this time it was somewhat colder but now it refuses to give up the heat.

Business continues as normal so nothing too crazy to report. We have one more week in the change so it's full steam ahead. Changes are always a mystery so I'll keep everyone posted on what happens. As far as closing areas and whatnot, Ysapy A and B dodged the bullet so there will continue to be 4 missionaries in this branch which is cool.

P day this week was nothing special. It's the end of the week so all the missionaries are poor. I'm happy to report that my budgeting skills are impeccable and I am not poor. Yeah budgeting! But anywho we didn´t do anything due to lack of monies. We did play super chess which requires two boards and 4 players which was pretty fun. My team lost because my teammate got checkmated which was unfortunate.

It was a rainy sunday which always means less members in church so it was the lowest church attendance that I've seen since I've been here. Hopefully it doesn't rain next week. It's never good when it rains on Sunday.

I'm happy and working hard so all is well in Paraguay! I hope you are all having a good time and doing all the things you need to do. I love you all!

Love,
Elder Morris

Ysapy

Oh hello everyone!

So it was another successful week here in Ysapy. Julio Cesar Aguilera got baptized! That's two Julio Cesars in two weeks. We shall just baptize all of the Julio's in our area. Yeah! It was a really good baptism so I'm pretty happy. Now he's going to help us baptize his sister. He also told his Catholic cousin that her baptism is false haha. He's not very tactful but we'll help him with that one. He wants to go out and visit with us so it'll be awesome.

There are some rumors of merging zones and areas and stuff, so this next change should be pretty exciting maybe. Maybe nothing will happen at all. We'll see what goes down. There are still two more weeks in this change so plenty of time for things to happen here in Ysapy.

Today we went to San Lorenzo and bought some souvenier things. I also bought some carmel injected churros. Those were really good. I shall return for more of those one day.

It continues to be hot and humid. It's less hot so walking around isn't too bad, but I could use a nice breeze every once in a while. In a month I'll be begging for the heat again so I should probably just be happy with what we have now. Oh well.

Nothing else crazy happened this week. We just keep working and the weeks are just flying by. I can't even believe it at all. Good work on all the gardening achievements for the week. Yeah! I love you all!

Love,
Elder Morris

Ysapy

Oh hey guys,

Happy Mother's day to all you mothers out there. Especially mah mommy :D

Everything continues to just chug along here in Ysapy. The good news is our baptism went as planned and now Julio Cesar Lopez is the newest member of the Ysapy branch! Another investigator also named Julio came to church again this week, so his baptismal date for this Saturday is still golden. With lots of prayers I think he can get baptized this week so that'll be cool.

Nothing too cool besides that this week. I had my final Skype call with the family which was awesome. It was interesting to hear my companion's call home and him saying that for his Christmas phone call he'll be in another area somewhere in Paraguay. Weird.

I had my second official bible bash experience this week as well. It was an Argentinan man and he was angry. He started out nice and then started to bring the thunder. We made it out alive and with our testimonies intact :) so all is well there. He was actually a reference from a member so we weren't prepared for such a crazy first lesson. Good stories for later I guess.

A brand new McDonald's opened really close to our area so we went as a district and had some good ole American fastfood. Yeah! I had a bigmac! It was pretty cool. Yeah!

I feel like May just started and now we're halfway through. Que rĂ¡pido que pasa el tiempo! All is well and we'll continue saving the people of Ysapy! I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week.

Love,
Elder Morris

Ysapy

Oh hay hay!

Another week gone! I don't know where all the time is going. I get to talk to you all on Saturday! Woop!

This was a pretty good week. In awesome news, Mabel Lopez has gone without coffee for over a week now. She told us that she has actually lost the desire to drink. After not being able to kick coffee for over 7 years, it's getting conquered by the power of the priesthood! Yeah! We keep hoping and praying a lot, but so far everything is going swell! It's super sweet. She wasn't able to come to church because she was all sick, but she's doing really well and so are her daughters. Ahh yeah!

We also had zone conference this week which was really nice. It was my second to last which is kind of weird. We learned about the importance of talking to everyone so hopefully everyone keeps getting better with that.

This week we will be having a baptism on Saturday which will be super coo. Julio Lopez is getting baptized! And then next week we have some more planned out so hopefully they come this next week to church to prepare for it all. There are a lot of good things happening in Ysapy. I don't know if I ever announced that were living with the other missionaries from Ysapy but we are. It's pretty interesting, and I'm hoping it's over soon haha. I don't like living in 4 anymore.

Everything is just going nicely down here. We're finding lots of people and we're just pleased as punch. I love you all and I'm super excited to talk this weekend. Yeeeeeaaah!
