Oh why hello there everyone,
The colder weather has finally started to arrive down here in good ole Paraguay. We don´t have hot water so I´d wish that warmer weather came back haha. Oh sad day. This week was pretty calm and normal. It rained some and was cold some and we walked around some and it was just dandy.
Today I bought a sweet t shirt in San Lorenzo. That´s pretty lame, but honestly nothing too exciting happened this week haha. Sooooo I will now publicly answer people´s questions on this email so I actually have something to write.
1. Nobody down here cares at all the Bin Laden is dead, so I actually just found out from you guys that he was shot. That´s pretty spiffy though. Make sure you keep me updated on world news. Paraguay doesn´t really follow that stuff...
2. The food down here is not good. So when you´re eating burritos and thinking about how much better my food is down here, you are mistaken :) I would really like one of the frozen burritos haha.
For those that wonder, the food here is pretty much really low quality beef with noodles or rice. And then sometimes they have chicken with the noodles/rice. Then they have lots of cornish type bread. It´s not necessarily bad, but it´s the same thing every day. I don´t get why they don´t try to change things up. At home I eat yogurt because it´s really thin and lovely here. Like those smoothie things that you can buy back home, but they are really cheap here and come in 1 liter bags! Woo!
Elder Sperry and I got blessed by some crazy preacher man this week during contacting. It was pretty intense with his shouting and hallelujah´s and whatnot but I was entertained. He quoted a lot of scriptures too. Quite knowledgable!
The search for the house continues, but now we have a fixed deadline because the dueño raised the rent at the one we´re at now, and the church won´t pay for it so we have till the end of May. The other house that we were looking at fell through, but we´ll find one hopefully. We also tossed around a frisbee today. You will all be so proud of my frisbee throwing abilities when I get home. I´m pretty close to pro now.
I don´t really have anything else to say, but sometimes uneventful weeks are okay. At least nothing crazy happened. We do have zone conference on Wednesday so that´ll be fun. I´ll report next monday! I hope you all have just a lovely week! Stay awesome!
