Hello there everyone,
Well team, special changes were in the air and one of em snuck up and got me. I got special changed to a place called Emboscada (means Ambush in Spanish....interesting) and now I´m out here doing my stuff. I´m kind of unhappy about it because we had 5 baptisms lined up for these two weeks coming up in Posta Leiva, but they´ll get baptized without me at least and all will be happy! Ana Maria (the one who smoked) got baptized yesterday back in Posta Leiva which is always good to hear.
I´m with an Elder Ventura from El Salvador, my first Latin comp. It´s interesting not speaking any English for days. He teaches me lots of words though so it´s all good. Annnd for all of you who like Google earth and whatnot, you can search for the chapel in Emboscada through the LDS.org site and our house is right next to it! You can see exactly where I live! Toooo crazy!
Today was a pretty fun pday. We went fishing! I´d send you pictures but my cable seems to have disappeared some time in my mission so I can´t attach to a computer. But, the fishing was good. I used a stick and some string and a hook. And I caught stuff! We caught some piranhas too. Yeah! It was great. Annnnnd even cooler is I learned how to catch tarantulas today. I have some good pictures of tarantula hunting. We made them fight each other.
The branch here needs some help, so there is plenty to do in good ole Emboscada. I´ll be busy for sure. We used cookies for the sacrament :) Ricos son! Paraguay decided that it was done being kinda cold, so it has now gotten really hot again and it makes me sad. But, other than that, I think all is well. I can now fish like a Paraguayan and catch really big spiders (Ñandu guasu kuéra in Guaraní) I love you all back home and I hope you have a good week!
Love,
Elder Morris
