Hello friends and family! Hola mi familia y mi amigos!
So it's really setting into a schedule around here, so fun and interesting things are scarce. We got a new Branch President yesterday, which is neato. The elders going to the Dominican Republic got shipped out on wednesday or something. I'm quite jealous. We Paraguayans are now about halfway done with the CCM (MTC). The month mark is comin up in a few days which is pretty exciting. That's like a real piece of time so now I can say one month instead of 3 weeks :D
And reguarding my sweats and whatnot, since it's going to get muy frio soon, I'll need the pair of either gray or blue sweats that are hiding in my clothes and then like one more shirt of sorts. Just pick one that isn't dumb. Let laura pick. And feel free to include something tasty in there if you want! Tee hee! This next Thursday will be our first lesson completely in Spanish, which is kinda crazy. Our teacher is moving us up a week cause he's nuts so we're starting it all a week early. My roommate downed a mountain dew (shipped in by his family of course) in under 13 seconds which was pretty impressive. I was frightened! And I've only missed one day so far in my journal! You'd all be so proud!
Yesterday Elder Gaylord and I taught a sweet district lesson or something. I don't actually know what it was. But it's kinda cool how now people just assign us stuff to do less than an hour later and it's no big deal. Back home I would've freaked out. So that's cool! Aaaaaannnnndddd I was called as the Branch musical coordinator! That pretty much means I just pick the 3 songs and then pianists in priesthood and sacrament meeting. I'm so legit now. I'm thinking it'll make Elder Gaylord and I immune to the next District Leader position, but we'll see :D And we did choir a few weeks back, which I've forgotten to write about, and then filled out some sweet paper to maybe be in the MTC choir for General Conference! :D It'd be in the Priesthood session I'm guessing, so only menfolk have a chance to see me, but it's still sweeto. But maybe they don't want me. We'll see. I told them I was a music major, but whatevs. And one of my teachers is taking a ladyfriend to visit his family in Cali this week!!!! Maybe he'll get married :D
I appreciate all the fun letters you guys send me! Make sure to take advantage of that while it lasts for 5 more weeks. Because after that, letters may be few depending on where I am in Paraguay. It's pretty awesome here that's for sure. The weeks are seemingly flying by, and that's kind of crazy. This place is like a testimony factory which is also nice. My spanish is coming along I think. I can actually carry on semi-decent conversations about family and work and such. Mi padre trabaja con computadores! How fancy is that? Pretty fancy! I'm soooo excited to fly out to Paraguay. It's going to be crazy awesomely cool. I went to the temple today and that was nice too :)
I think that's all I have for this week. Everyone keep on keeping on! Stay true to the faith! Be still, and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10). I hope you all have a fantastic week, and I hope the grass in the barnyard grows like a champ! I love you all and I know that the work we are all in is the most important work in the world. Never forget who you are, and work your hardest so at the last day you may stand blameless before God. And never hesitate to ask Him for anything. God looks for any excuse to bless his children (I mean, look at Alma the younger. The worst of the worst saw an angel of the Lord and was converted.) If you need anything in life, just pray. :) That's my magical thought for the week. I love you all!
Elder Morris :D
