Emboscada

Oh hello everyone!

Everything is going just fine down here in Emboscada. The big news of the week is that Paraguay beat Brazil yesterday in a shootout and are now advancing to the semifinals of the Copa América! They play either Venezuela or Chile, depending on whoever won yesterday. Paraguayans don´t watch games that don´t include Paraguay so I haven´t heard yet.

It rained again on Sunday which was just super crappy. We had 33 in church instead of 18 though so we´re improving I suppose. I´m hoping we don´t have a whole change of rainy sundays. That´d be pretty awful.

Today we went to Limpio and played some soccer with other elders which was pretty fun. Elder Argyle managed to lose 100 mil and his missionary handbook and his documents and whatnot between there and the store to buy food. I had to buy his food for him. I had just enough :D We went back to look for it, but we never found it. Buuuut because of the delay for looking and whatnot, we found a girl waiting at the bus stop to go back to Emboscada and she told us that she had spoken with the Elders before and they taught her some English and she went to church once and whatnot. So we´re going to her house tomorrow to talk to her :O Hopefully it all goes well, cause then Argyle losing 100 mil would be worth it.

This week when we were walking back to Emboscada from a neighboring little town a couple of dogs started to follow us from across the street and they were barking and such. And it was at night time so it was hard to see, so mr. taxi man didn´t see the doggies and he got one of em dang good with his car. The other dog that didn´t die stopped barking, probably because he just watched his friend die :O Don´t bark at missionaries!

It´s been pretty hot still, but they say that starting tomorrow it´s going to get cold for a couple of weeks or something and then Summer comes. Mmmmm. At least I only have one more summer here. The work here is coming right along. We´ve started assigning people to do home and visiting teaching, because none of the leaders will do it. We assign each member that wants to help 3 people to go out and visit. One of the ladies had 2 of her people come back to church already so she´s just super stoked cause the visits actually work. We´ll keep on keeping on down here. Emboscada will be better! Woo! Anywho, I think that´s all the exciting news that I have for this week. I´ll let you all know if something crazy happens! I love you all!

Love,
Elder Morris
