Ysapy

Hello everyone yet again!

Everything is going just nicely down here in Paraguay. Right now it's actually pouring rain which made it kind of wet to get to the cyber, but we're all happy and it's going well. It's getting a little bit cooler so we've had a couple of days where we didn't sweat at all. Those were some good days. I wore my sweater vest today for the first time this year. Yeah!

As far as baptisms go for this week, we had some setbacks, so it's on hold for now. Dang it. We have lots of new people to work with though from this week which is super cool. We invited recent convert Romina to invite her mom and sister to listen to us even though everyone said they were mean and awful. We ended up teaching them and as it turns out Ana, Romina's sister, had already read the Book of Mormon before and remembered tons of it. She asked me about Korihor in Alma and about the big building in Lehi's dream and stuff. She's super legit. She has a baptismal date in April. Woo!

Oh and I finally got a dang ingrown toenail this week. It hurts. That'll get fixed soon so everything should go well. Woo! We also had a zone training meeting with President which was lovely. This weekend will be Gen con which is legit!

It sounds like everything is going well up north. Good work team. I'll be sure to keep you all updated if anything crazy goes down here. We did contact an angry drunk man yesterday. That's nothing new though, so yeah. I love you all and I hope you have a great week. Gen con! Yeah!

Love,

Elder Morris

Ysapy

Oh hey everyone!

Changes came and went, and I'm still in good ole Ysapy! Yay! Elder Harward is still my companion as well so it's all just business as normal. It wasn't really hot for a few days which was exciting, but then it got hot again. Now my head hurts. Ugh.

As far as news goes, nothing too crazy going on. I did a division with Elder ManĂº (the sick one) because he could finally work. We got ready to leave the house after our lunch hour, and the nurse called telling him he's not supposed to be working. So we sat in the house. Again. Dang it. Haha at least someone was working in my area! Woo! Anywho, everything is all well with him now and everyone is full steam ahead.

We found a really cool new investigator this week, and then lost her because of her crazy grandma. She started yelling at us and forbid her granddaughter from talking to us. She must be really catholic. We have some other investigators preparing for baptism really soon so that's cool. I'm excited because members really like to help us. Sometimes they get a little too excited and say crazy things, but teaching with them is always an adventure. Yeah!

General conference is coming up speedy quick which makes me all excited. It's my final Gen con in Paraguay which is super weird.

Other than that, nothing too crazy. My mission son, Elder Milne, is finally out of Eusebio Ayala which I'm sure made him really happy. He's all growed up now. Sniff.

I love you all and I hope you have a magical week.

Love,
Elder Morris

Ysapy

Sup everyone!

I'm not sure where all the time goes. We're now coming to the end of my first change in Ysapy! Tonight is when we get changes, so I'll be sure to let you all know if something crazy happens. In theory everything will just stay the same and we'll keep working together and everything will be lovely. I dunno. I've seen crazy things happen.

In awesome news, Hilda Romina Ayala got baptized on Saturday! Woo! She was always an interesting person to teach because she's never been to school a day in her life and she's 24. We helped her through that and she wanted to change her life. It was awesome. She's super charitable and nice to everyone so it was cool to be able to baptize her and help her on her way! We have another baptism on Friday of a guy named Christian who is super cool as well. We found another guy named Vidal this week, and he told us he couldn't come to church because he was going to visit his mom, but he totally came to church! It was awesome! So we have some super sweet things going on here in Ysapy. Hopefully everything just keeps on going like this. It's sweet.

Also, a missionary that was with me in La Paloma has recently returned to Paraguay to claim his bride. That's super weird. She happens to live in our branch here so he paid us a visit at 3 in the morning on Sunday. Now he's off in Brazil doing vacationy things but he'll be back around here so that's just weird to see him now as not a missionary. Super weird.

This week we had a couple more divisions because Elder Manu was still feeling ill, but we seem to be better now and everything is all well. The animal kingdom decided to not kill me this week, so no stories there. I had really good peach juice today which was awesome. It made me happy.

I think that's the cool news for this week. I love you all and I hope you have a great time up there! Changes tonight!

Love,

Elder Morris

Ysapy

Hello everyone!

Another week gone in the magical land of Ysapy. The big news of the week is that we moved back to our own house today so we'll be able to work in our own area a lot more! Woo! There is only one more week left in the change, so we'll see what happens there, but at least we'll be working machines for one week. We don't even know if Elder Manu is fine, but President said we can leave today and that he's coming to talk to Manu today. So we'll see what happens there.

This week was pretty cool. I got bit by a pony and poked in the eye by a monkey. Mosquitos have come back with a vengence so pretty much all of the animal kingdom is out to get me. We also had stake conference this week so we all got to take a member bus to the stake center which is always a fun adventure. Elder Manu managed to break one of the back windows in the bus, so the bus man isn't very happy with him. Poor Manu.

We ate at a really good German restaurant this week as well and it was cool. That's actually where the monkey was that poked me in my eye. I didn't get any diseases so I'm okay. Yeah! The branch is making a video of how cool it is, so they recorded our testimonies this week and it was pretty neato. They will have it done next week I think.

The work continues as normal. Now we'll be able to work in our own area a lot more so I'm pretty excited for that. Yeah! Other than that, it's all good. We're trying to find some new people to teach and baptize so that should be fun. This week's district meeting will be on King Lamoni! Yeah! I love you all! Have a fantastic week!

Love,

Elder Morris
